Yum Yum Asian Greens
I'm not sure why this is the case, but I can verify that this is truth.
I am magnetised to their nature, culture, community-centredness, respect for family, thoughtfulness.. and the list goes on. Many of the closest people to my heart have been Asian... and probably still are Asian:/
This dish is classically served with dumplings, but also works beautifully with fish.
Ingredients:
Ginger (3cm x 3cm), thinly sliced and diced
1 lime
400g Pak Choi/Choy Sum/Bok Choy
2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 tbsp Chinese Rice wine
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
Method:
1. Cut and rinse pak choi and set aside.
2. Mix Oyster sauce, rice wine, sesame oil and garlic in mini saucepan & bring to the boil. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
3. Heat wok with peanut oil on high heat and cook ginger and sesame seeds for 30 seconds.
4. Add pak choi and toss in wok until just cooked. Squeeze lime juice over pak choi and mix well with sauce.
5. Serve.
